Two women objectors, Raz Bar-David Varon and Maya Yechieli Wind, both signatories of the 2008 high school seniors refusal letter, reported on Wednesday, 14 Jan., at the Induction Base, declaring their refusal to serve in the Israeli military and were sentenced to 14 days in military prison. The Shministim Day of Action has come and gone but the cause cannot be forgotten and support continues to grow. After attending the Day of Action in Israel and helping to deliver over 22,000 letters to the Army Headquarters, Raz Bar-David Varon has been sentenced again for the third time. Continue reading »
